David has a 2:1 Honours degree in geophysics from Exeter University. He began his career as seismologist in the oil exploration business in the jungles of Papua New Guinea where he worked for almost three years. Since then he has spent the past 25 years in the world of financial markets: starting with JP Morgan and then as a partner at Emergent Asset Management Ltd simultaneously acting as Chairman and joint founder of EmVest, the ground breaking agricultural business in Africa, until 2011. He is currently Chairman and co-founder of the security firm Spartent Global Solutions Limited.
In 2011, after 5 years of extensive research, David combined his lifelong fascination with military history, geopolitics and finance into a unified model, and published BREAKING THE CODE OF HISTORY, which highlights the key factors in today’s changing world, as power shifts from the West to the East.
