Speaker’s Biography
Andrew is responsible for creating and maintaining Benchmark’s independent forecasting services – quarterly subscription offerings for lithium, graphite, cobalt and Li-ion cell costs. Benchmark also undertakes a select number consultancy projects each year for major actors across the li-ion battery supply chain from the world’s leading mining companies to battery makers and electric vehicle manufacturers. Andrew has over 15 years of experience in the metals, mining and minerals industry as an analyst and consultant and has held roles as a Director at Wood Mackenzie, Principal Consultant and Practice Area Leader at CRU Consulting and Associate Director and Senior Commodities Analyst at VTB Capital.
On the consultancy side he has specialised in metals and mining finance and project valuation, overseeing numerous lenders market reports; pre-feasibility studies; commercial due diligence projects; offtake studies; syndication deals and IPO support projects. Andrew has also produced and edited leading industry publications on the finished steel and steel pipe markets, the GFMS Gold Survey on behalf of Thomson Reuters, and the World Silver Survey on behalf of the Silver Institute. He holds a BA (hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford.
