Ed Humphries was appointed the Head of Digital Transformation at Barrick Gold Corporation in September 2016. He is responsible for delivering a fundamental culture change for Barrick as it embraces the digital era. Ed served for 13 years in the British Army including time in the Special Air Service (SAS) before working in Africa as a shareholder in a number of startup businesses from consumer finance, distressed asset recovery and oil and gas. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Geography for the University of Birmingham and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
