Need to know

Alufer Mining is a bauxite exploration and development company with a portfolio of assets in the Republic of Guinea. Alufer is seeking to rapidly advance the Bel Air project into production in order to capitalise on the strong bauxite market fundamentals. The BFS for Bel Air was completed in November 2014, which confirmed the project’s robust economics and Alufer recently secured a US $10m Bridge Facility to take it to the pre-construction stage. Construction will take just 12 months to complete. The Company’s objective is to become a globally significant producer by bringing Bel Air into production in 2016, followed by the Labé project where a pre-feasibility study is expected to commence next year.
